8 Steps to Achieve a Successful, and Money-Making Mindset!

Tuesday, November 11th, 2008

What is the secret? How do the wealthy do it? I’m sure you, like me, have tried numerous ways of making money – but to no avail. After much research and actual success myself, I have discovered 8 behaviours of the wealthy mindset – that if followed, will give you success in whatever you put your mind to! Follow these and you will be a successful entrepreneur in no time!

DELVE INTO THE MINDS OF THE WEALTHY – Write down the values and beliefs of the entrepreneurs you admire or hope to be as successful as, and simply adjust yours to be the same. Another great idea is to actually find a local successful entrepreneur and ask if you can have a coffee with them to ‘pick their brain’ so to speak. Obviously compliment them, and then explain why you admire them so and ask if it is possible that they would share a few lessons to help you on your way to success. If you can’t do that, read the biographies of people like Richard Branson, or Donald Trump and learn that way. Replicate success – and that is what you will get, copy the behaviours of the lazy, and that is also what you will get! Which do you want?

ENVISION – Scientists have proven that visualising can increase your chance of success. The more often you visualise, the more the subconscious mind believes that it has happened, and therefore starts looking for ways to make sure it behaves in a similar way. Do this regularly and you will “train” your mind for success. Sit in a quiet spot, visualise your most successful day as an entrepreneur. Take notice of what you are doing in this picture, what you say to yourself, what others say, how you feel, how you stand / walk, and any other significant points.

GOALS – When driving your car, do you first think of where it is you want to go? That is right, you need a desired destination before driving. This is the same when becoming a successful entrepreneur. You need a desired outcome. What is very important is to actually write these goals down, and be specific. Write them in the present tense so, like with visualising; your subconscious mind believes it has happened. Don’t stress about HOW you are going to get there, this will come, just make sure you have the destination written down.

INCOME PRODUCING ACTIVITIES – Although obvious, this is actually an important one to state. I mean, how many of you (and let’s be honest) have gone to do some money making work, but become side tracked with organising “important” things, or creating new systems, or having lunch – when you should have been doing marketing calls? Write a list of the actual core activities that brings in money to your business. Once you have recognised what these are – make sure you are doing at least one of these a day!

BELIEVE – Believe and expect that you will be successful. Expectation is a powerful tool when it comes to the law of attraction. How many times have you expected (to the core of your belief) something to happen, and it did – or vice versa. Expect your success and it will happen!

ATTITUDE OF GRATITUDE – Focusing on what you have, will only attract more to what you have. Focusing on what you don’t have, will attract more of the feeling of lack. Whenever you start feeling that you are focusing on being broke, or on not having enough – stop, and write down ten things you are grateful for. This will shift the energy that you are sending out and help you to re-focus. The more positive you are, you start to notice more positive things and attract more of what you want.

CONTINUAL GROWTH / PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT – This is very important – remember to never stop growing. All the successful entrepreneurs have open minds and are always learning. Watch Oprah – she is always learning something new on her show. And with those new Learnings she continues to grow her empire. “You will be the same person in five years as you are today except for the people you meet and the books you read.” Charles “Tremendous” Jones

DEVOTION – Committing to your goals and to your success will be the key to everything. As long as you devote yourself and commit, it won’t matter what obstacles may appear on your journey, because you are determined and are willing to persevere, success will be inevitable.

If you pursue your goals, dreams and desires using these 8 behaviours – calling yourself a successful entrepreneur will be only natural. Good luck! Enjoy the journey, reward your triumphs and learn from your setbacks! Success is yours.

The Role a Life Coach Plays in Your Business

Tuesday, November 11th, 2008

Instinctively, people hire a business coach many times right away when they are struggling with their business. Consider the option of hiring a life coach, as that may also have a huge impact on your business.

A life coach can give you strategies to help you cope with stress. They also arm you with techniques to use when you feel overwhelmed by pressures, and are unable to deal- with either home or work dealings. Once you have the tools you need, you will find work projects much easier to deal with.

A common flaw, too many people suffer from a being organized and not knowing how to manage their time. These in turn can add to your stress. Many life coaches even specialize in organization and time management.

While some people prefer book or paper planners, some prefer electronic planners. Everyone has their own style of organization and managing time. A good life coach can assess you, see where your strengths lie, and find the style that works best for you.

Life coaches can also help you balance your work and home life by creating and implementing a work schedule. Again, everyone is different. A mother of young children will need a schedule with a lot of flexibility, while someone else may need a very rigid schedule in order to perform their best work. Your life coach will work with you to create a schedule that allows you to get your work done, yet still enjoy your life.

A lack of confidence will often hold people back in life. If someone suffers from insecurities, they may not feel they will succeed or that they have skills worth sharing with the world. A life coach is trained to help you determine what your strengths are. Determining your strengths is bound to help build your confidence, and help empower you to do great things.

One of the most important assets in dealing with people in business is communication. If you are lacking communication skills, it will make your business skills less than desirable. A life coach can not only help you work on these skills, but they can also help work with you to get over the fear of speaking publicly. You will become a more powerful presenter and will be able to convey your message better in your business dealings.

Whether you knew it or not, your personal life and business life are connected. If you are lacking in one area of your life, you may notice you are lacking in another part as well. A life coach can help you get past any obstacles in either area. For if you can improve one area of your life- either business or personal-the other will usually improve as well.
